We know that when you are researching your family history you want to know more than just names and dates. You also want to know where they lived and if it still exists. Well to help you we have put together a collection of photos: some old, some new.

So now when you are finding out about your ancestry you can see where they where born and what the countryside they lived in was like. We plan to continue adding to them over time, and if you wish to be kept up-to-date you can sign up to our newsletter.

If the house or village you are looking for is not here but your ancestors came from southern Scotland just send us an email and we can see what we can do. Alternatively take a look at Keepsakes Antiques as they have a large collection of postcards from all over Scotland as well as many other beautiful antiques.

Many of our photos are available for sale as digital copies or prints, where available click the “Add to cart” button or email for details.

Got a photo but don’t know where it is? We might be able to identify it for you or feature it in our newsletter and enlist the help of fellow researchers. Email for more information or search our website:
